Interestingly, the answer to all these questions is YES. My Dear, YES!
I will walk you through my story.
If you watch our channel – A Digital Blogger, the first 600 odd videos are me with voiceovers in English and Hindi where I am reading out various presentations.
These presentations were nothing but comparisons and analysis around Stock Market Industry.
In today’s time – nobody would probably watch those videos. But.
The content and business domain of those videos was very specific (read niche) and kinda boring.
At that point in time, there were videos, that have decent number of views:

And I can keep on going.
I am not telling you that these are amazing videos. These were done in 6-7 years ago.
But, there are many channels today that still do the same.
Such channels have evolved in terms of the way the content is displayed or interacted with in the video, or the usage of different tools that help you making interactive videos. You can hust add audio on top of such content pieces.

All you have to do is, do the ususal.
Pick a niche that you like, figure out the topics that you would like to talk about (literally!) and go ahead & produce content around them.
It makes total sense to keep moving with time and use the best of tools that help you in creating content which is highly visually appealing.

One thing (apart from what is mentioned above) that you simply cannot avoid in creating videos without showing your face, having a distinct voice tone.
See, this is pretty obvious.
If you are not going to use your face (or any real human face) in the video, your voice is only thing that is left with the audience they can connect with you through.
If you cannot let go of your shyness (or whatever reason you are making Youtube videos without showing your face), you have to compensate it with your voice.
Thus, working on your voice texture, tone, pitch, modulations, duskiness (if possible!) and whatever that is needed around it.
If you are able to pull this off, you are identifiable. People not just remember faces, but they remember voices too (talking from experience).
Therefore, if not already, I’d strongly suggest you to start working on your voice quality (organically).
And of course, since you are not going to spend anything on video production gadgets (camera or phone), get some cash out for a high-quality microphone that helps beauifying your voice quality even further.
What kind of Videos can I make without my face?
There are many kinds.
Really.
1. Animation videos
In this format of content, you would need people with good hand on graphic and video editing.
There must be story, a narrative, a script before any of your video graphic team members start working on such a piece. Nothing can be random.
The audience of such content pieces could easily be kids.
However, animation videos can also be made to create demontrative content. That would change your audience to adults.
Remember, the voice-over texture needs to change accordingly.
2. Presentations
Well, this is what I used to do and still a lot of channels are out there presenting content in form of presentations.
This is generally educational content around a business domain.
There are free tools out there such as Canva that help you make beautiful presentations for free. You don’t need an expert to make them either. Its mostly plug and play.
Make sure you give the making of the presentation due time. Don’t hurry or rush to make the final video piece.
3. Entertainment Videos
This is a wider ground. You can make review videos, or funny voice-overs on top of already published content (make sure the content is license free to avoid copyright).
Here the competition is gonna be huge but you will have a wider topic base and a wider audience to target.
Remember the business game.
The niche you go, smaller the audience gets, lesser the topics you can harp around with.
And the opposite of that is also true.
I can go on and on and on around the kinds of videos you can do.
But really, its you who has to embark on this journey.
Final Thoughts
Last and the most important piece of advice is – eventually, you should ideally decide on get in front of the camera.
The reason for that is – face creates a much strong recall than a voice piece can. Yes, there will be exception to this and this is no rule either.
However, on a general note, it won’t be a bad idea the day you decide to sit in front of the camera.
