The Vision Research: Shobhit Tandon’s Registration, and Why 17 Pricing Plans Cost More Than SEBI Allows

The Vision Research

Quick Summary

The Vision Research is run by Shobhit Tandon, a SEBI Research Analyst with number INH000017860, registered since July 2024 and based in Bengaluru. He offers research across nearly every market segment: cash, futures, options, and commodities. Checked properly, seventeen of the roughly twenty-four pricing options on his site cost more than the ₹1,51,000 SEBI yearly limit once you work out the real annual cost. His complaint page is also labelled as covering February 2026, but the four complaints it actually lists happened across three different months in 2025, and no data exists anywhere for February 2026 itself.

Shobhit Tandon runs The Vision Research, a SEBI Research Analyst business with registration number INH000017860, active since 24 July 2024.

The registration is real, and it’s genuinely well documented, with a proper disclosure page, a research sample you can check before you even enquire, and a clear warning against paying into any personal account.

His pricing page is where the real trouble sits.

This page covers the registration, every plan checked against the SEBI limit, and a complaint page whose own dates don’t match what it actually shows.

The Vision Research Company

The Vision Research covers a wide spread of the market: delivery equity, stock cash, swing and positional trades, stock and index futures, stock and index options, and MCX commodities across bullion, base metals, and energy.

It also offers a Portfolio Health Checkup, reviewing a client’s existing holdings for diversification and concentration risk.

A few things here are genuinely good practice, worth saying plainly.

The site lets you read a sample research report before you even enquire, so you can judge the actual quality of the work before paying anything.

It also carries a dedicated payment safety page, stating clearly that payment should only go to the registered business account, never to a personal savings account or personal UPI ID.

None of this means anything wrong has happened. If something does need reporting, the steps for that are further down this page.

Is The Vision Research SEBI Registered?

Yes. INH000017860 is confirmed directly on the firm’s own disclosure, disclaimer, and grievance pages.

An INH number means Research Analyst. He can share research and give calls to many clients at once.

He can’t build advice around one person’s own money situation, place trades on anyone’s behalf, or manage anyone’s portfolio.

Shobhit Tandon holds the Principal Officer, Compliance Officer, and Customer Support roles all himself, using the same phone number and email for each.

For an individual registration, that’s common and not unusual on its own.

The Vision Research Pricing, Compared Against the ₹1,51,000 SEBI Limit

This is the most serious finding on this page, so let’s go through it category by category.

SEBI allows a Research Analyst to charge at most ₹1,51,000 a year, per client family, not counting GST.

What This Actually Adds Up To

Seventeen of the price points published on this site cost more than SEBI’s ₹1,51,000 annual limit, once you actually work out what a full year would cost.

The worst single figure is BTST Options Research billed monthly, which comes to nearly ₹12 lakh a year, close to eight times the legal limit.

A handful of plans genuinely stay compliant, mostly the smaller, lower-priced options like the ₹999 monthly plans, and the longer half-yearly cycles on Stock Options and MCX Base Metal.

If you’re paying more than a few hundred rupees a month for any single plan here, work out the real yearly figure yourself before assuming it’s within the rules.

One protection applies regardless of the plan.

If you stop early, you’re owed a fair partial refund for the time you didn’t use.

Does The Vision Research’s Complaint Page Actually Cover February 2026?

Its own headline table says yes. Its own detailed table says otherwise.

The Current Complaint Summary

Reporting Period Received Resolved Pending Avg. Resolution
February 2026 4 4 0 15 days

The Monthly Trend Table, Same Complaints

Month Received Resolved
February 2025 1 1
June 2025 1 1
July 2025 2 2
February 2026 0 0

The four complaints the headline table claims for February 2026 actually happened across three separate months in 2025: February, June, and July.

The monthly trend table’s own February 2026 row shows zero, nothing, for that month specifically.

No data exists anywhere for any month after February 2026.

As of this review, that’s a real gap: several months with no published complaint activity at all.

There’s also no yearly summary table anywhere on the site, despite the registration now running for over a year.

Ask the firm directly for a genuine, correctly dated complaint history before treating either table above as the current picture.

What To Examine in Vision Research’s Marketing On The Website?

The homepage prominently offers a “GET FREE RESEARCH REPORT” call to action, and describes itself with the phrase “LOW-FRICTION FIRST STEP,” language usually associated with lead generation funnels rather than describing a research service directly.

It also displays a “Market Snapshot” highlighting stocks with large recent gains, naming specific examples like a 14.83 percent move and a 17.67 percent move, while separately stating the data is for informational purposes only.

Highlighting big recent winners, even with a disclaimer attached, can create an impression of the kind of gains a subscriber might expect.

None of this amounts to a guaranteed-return promise.

It’s still worth reading with real caution, particularly alongside a pricing structure where most plans already breach the SEBI limit.

How to File a Complaint Against Shobhit Tandon?

Two things are worth getting in writing from Shobhit Tandon before you go anywhere near SEBI.

Your actual yearly total, worked out from your own invoices rather than the sticker price on the page. And the real complaint figures, with the dates that actually match his own monthly table.

An email to the RA firm’s email asking both questions plainly is a reasonable first move, and it costs you nothing.

Silence, or an answer that still doesn’t add up, is what SEBI SCORES exists for.

The SEBI SCORES complaint page is where that complaint actually gets filed.

A SCORES complaint that goes nowhere doesn’t end there either.

The SMART ODR registration platform picks it up next, with a neutral party looking at both sides.

And if even that stalls, share market arbitration is the stage that actually forces a decision, one neither side gets to simply ignore.

None of these three steps happen in isolation, and the order matters.

Our guide on how to file a complaint against a SEBI-registered research analyst walks through exactly how they connect.

Conclusion

Shobhit Tandon’s registration, INH000017860, is genuine and active since July 2024, and his site carries genuinely good practices, a sample report, and a clear payment safety warning worth crediting.

The pricing needs serious attention. Seventeen of roughly twenty-four price points cost more per year than SEBI allows, some by several times over.

His complaint page also states it covers February 2026, while the actual complaints listed happened across three different months in 2025, with nothing shown for February 2026 itself.

Before paying anything, work out your real yearly cost, and ask directly for a correctly dated complaint history.
